ONLINE RESOURCES Creating estimates for your customers gives them the best idea of final pricing for their job. It is important to explain to customers that these are estimated prices and pricing may change once final template is completed. To create an estimate, click the Estimator tab at the top of your screen then, Create New Estimate.

EASY ESTIMATOR- Customer Information

Any field with an asterisk is a required field. Getting the customer’s phone number and email address are very helpful when final orders are placed, this information will transfer over. The estimate can also be sent directly to the customer’s email address once completed.

EASY ESTIMATOR- Store Information

Dealer Name and Store Number will auto-populate. Please be sure to use the drop-down menu to select the Sales Assoc.

If the address provided by the customer doesn’t auto populate or gives you an error, we recommend using MapQuest or Googling the address as there could be a variation in street name and zip code.

EASY ESTIMATOR- Tasks

Each task listed in the tabs above must be completed in the order they are listed. Once the tasks are completed you may go back to each tab to adjust or make changes, as necessary.

Throughout creating an estimate, you will always be able to click this estimate tray to view the retail price for what has currently been input.

DRAW COUNTERTOPS- Introduction

Draw Countertops: • Rectangles, squares, “L” and “U” shapes can all be drawn. • Dimensions can be adjusted by clicking on the numbers, typing appropriate number, and clicking enter • To adjust an angle, click on and use the drop- down menu to select correct angle. • The Easy Estimator will automate the depth to the standard 25.5”, this can be adjusted as needed. • To duplicate or rotate a countertop, right click and select the correct option

DRAW COUNTERTOPS- Details

Click on the blue angle, a drop-down menu will appear with the options of 90, 112.5, and 135 degrees. Click the correct angle and the portal will adjust your drawing.

DRAW COUNTERTOPS- Details

By right clicking on a countertop drawing, you will be able to rotate, duplicate and delete any space.

Please note: if any adjustments need to be made including; measurement changes, deleting countertops, adding countertops, etc. You must return to the “Draw Countertops” tab

DRAW COUNTERTOPS- Waterfall Edge

To properly charge for a waterfall edge, first draw additional pieces to have the correct square footage on the order.

Next, reach out to your fabricator to ask what needs to be charged for labor and include in your additional items (shown on later page). If you are not able to get an answer, be sure to let your customer know there WILL be a labor charge for waterfall edges that will be determined after template is completed.

ADD MATERIAL & EDGING

Be sure the product line is set to the customer’s selection, the drop-down menu will list all materials available in the listed product selection. Once all selections (product type, color and edge) are made, click “OK”.

ADD MATERIAL & EDGING- Edging

Every top will require at least one edge to be finished. Different spaces will require a different amount of finished edges; for example, an island will have all finished sides, while a counter attached to a wall will not require all finished sides.

To select the finished edge, hover over the edge and it will turn blue, right click, and select the edge option. You will do this on every top that is drawn.

ADD MATERIAL & EDGING- Edging

There is an option of “None Selected” for an edge choice. This will allow you to move forward without adding finished edges.

ADD RADIUS & BUMPS

The “ADD RADIUS & BUMPS” tab will allow you to add radiuses, bumps, and create diagonals on corners.

ADD RADIUS & BUMPS- Radiuses

The estimator will auto-populate a .75”radius. This can be adjusted.

Hover over the corner that needs to have a radius edge and select Corner Radius.

To customize the radius, click on the auto-populated amount, type in the requested amount and click enter

ADD RADIUS & BUMPS- Full Radiuses

Input the correct depth measurement and select “OK”.

Full Radius Edges are a popular request. To create this in the Easy Estimator, hover over the requested edge and select Full Radius

ADD RADIUS & BUMPS- Diagonal Corners

To create a diagonal corner, hover over the appropriate corner and select “Diagonal”.

To adjust the measurement of the diagonal corner, right-click on the diagonal, select diagonal again and input the correct measurement.

ADD BACKSPLASH

Hover over any edge that the customer is adding backsplash to. The edge will turn blue, right-click, and select the backsplash height. Backsplash heights are customizable by selecting “Other Splash”.

Enter the height of the backsplash in the pop-up and click “OK”.

ADD BACKSPLASH- Backsplash Add-ons

Once backsplash is added, there are additional options that can be added. Right-click on the yellow backsplash to select from the menu.

A CookTop Splash is typically added behind the stovetop. Measurements can be adjusted once added to the backsplash. To add an Electrical Outlet, select this option and add however many cutouts are requested. To remove the backsplash, be sure you are on the ADD BACKSPLASH tab, right-click, and Remove Splash. Upgrading the edging on backsplash is an option. Select in this menu, and pricing will be reflected.

ADD SINKS & COOKTOPS- Sinks

If a customer is planning to purchase a sink through the store, right click on the countertop and select “Add Sink”. All sinks offered in the program will be listed. When a sink is selected, the correct cut-out is also added to the final estimate.

ADD SINKS & COOKTOPS- Sinks

When a customer is providing their own sink and not purchasing within the program, select “Customer Supplied UnderMount Sink.” This will still add the cutout as necessary.

ADD SINKS & COOKTOPS- Cooktops/Appliances

The option to add cooktops, refrigerators, ranges, and dishwashers are in this menu as well. Adding in the customer’s appliances helps them better visualize the final product!

ADD OPTIONAL ITEM(S)

Any items that need to be added that were not in the previous tabs can be added in the Add Optional Item(s) tab.

Tear-Out is not included in pricing. If customer wants their fabricator to tear-out and haul away their current countertops, confirm the material that is currently installed and the square footage to be removed. 4 facet hole cutouts are included in the program. Any additional faucet hole cutouts will be charged here. This Polished Cutout is priced with an upgraded edge profile around the cutout. This does not replace the cut out but will be charged in addition to the necessary cut out. One unpolished cut out is included in the program. Any additional unpolished cutouts will be added here. Mileage is charged from the customer’s project address to the store’s address. 20 miles are included in the price, charge per mile over 20 here. If the project address is 25 miles from the store the quantity would be 5. If a fabricator advises you to charge for any additional custom work, this SKU is for any line item without a pre-loaded SKU in the portal. CFI will advise what quantity should be, if needed.

REVIEW PRICING AND PRINT Submit estimate to have the drawing processed into the portal, this will allow the portal to link the estimate drawing to the purchase order. Confirm customer’s address and contact information.

To print a copy for the customer, click Print Retail Price. See following page for example of printed estimate.

Final estimate drawing will show with all material and edge selections.

All items to be charged will show here with quantities and dollar amounts. This is retail pricing and can be shared with your customer.

Total ESTIMATED price. Be sure your customer understands that pricing can change when the fabrication partner has completed the measurement visit and confirmed all quantities needed.

These are retail SKUs and will be used to ring the order in at the store.
