LEAD-SAFE RENOVATION
Lead-Safe Renovation Information for Customers
Introduction Thank you for choosing us for your renovation project. Your safety is our top priority. As part of our commitment to responsible practices, we comply with the EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule. This document provides essential information about lead safety for homes built before 1978, when lead-based paints were widely used. Understanding Lead Hazards Lead exposure poses significant health risks, especially to young children and pregnant women. Renovation activities that disturb painted surfaces can release harmful lead dust and chips, which can be ingested or inhaled. Our Lead-Safe Practices We take the following steps to ensure safety and compliance: 1. Pre-Renovation Assessment: Before starting work, we assess the area to identify any presence of lead based paint 2. Containment: To prevent dust and debris from spreading, we establish containment zones. This includes: • Sealing off rooms with plastic sheeting • Using negative air pressure systems when needed 3. Safe Work Practices: Our team follows strict lead-safe procedures, including: • Using wet methods to minimize dust
• Avoiding power sanding or scraping methods that generate lead dust • Cleaning the workspace meticulously during and after the project
4. Post-Renovation Cleaning: Upon project completion, we clean thoroughly using HEPA vacuums and wet-cleaning methods to remove any remaining lead dust. 5. Clearance Testing: We recommend having a certified lead inspector conduct clearance testing to confirm that the area is safe for reoccupancy

LEAD-SAFE RENOVATION
Customer Responsibilities To support our efforts in maintaining a safe work environment, please: • Notify Us of Children and Pregnant Women: If there are children under six or pregnant women in the home, please inform us. • Prepare the Work Area: Remove personal items and furniture from the renovation zone before our team arrives. Important Reminders Lead exposure can have serious, long-term health effects. Staying informed and vigilant helps minimize risks during and after renovations Don’t hesitate to ask us any questions about our lead-safe practices. Your peace of mind is important to us. Additional Resources For more information on lead safety and the risks of lead exposure, please visit the EPA’s official website: EPA Lead Information
Contact Us If you have any questions about our lead-safe practices or the renovation process, feel free to reach out to cabinets@sagesurfaces.com or call (855) 782-9979. Thank you for trusting us with your project. Your safety and satisfaction are our priorities.

CABINET PROGRAM FAQs
Q. Can a customer get cabinets installed in other rooms outside the kitchen? A. Yes. Cabinets can be installed in kitchens and bathrooms.
Q. Do I need to pay for professional measurements? A. Yes. A measure will be purchased for $99 from Home Outlet and a Certified Cabinet Installer will take precise measurements in your home. The cost of the measure will be deducted from your purchase price. Q. How do I prepare for installation? A. You should be sure to remove all contents from your existing cabinets and drawer and clear the countertops. For full details on how to prepare for installation, please view our Installation Checklist. Q. Why should I purchase cabinet installation through Home Outlet? A. You can have peace of mind, knowing that the work is handled by highly vetted, background checked installers. You will receive quality installations done right the first time. Q. Why should I purchase the Granite Gold Cabinet Protection Plan? A. The 5-Year or 10-Year protection plan covers your newly invested cabinets (up to $50,000) from stains and damage from use and handling, unlike manufacturer warranties. Q. Can I get unfinished cabinets installed through this program? A. No, this program applies to in-stock or-ready to assemble (RTA) cabinets. Unfinished cabinets are not eligible for installation under this program. Q. I spilled on my cabinets. How do I clean them? A. Use mild cleaners or soap and water to clean the cabinet surfaces. Avoid spraying cleaning products directly om the wood. Apply product to a cloth instead. Always remember that excess water should be dried immediately to avoid water damage to cabinet finishes. Q. I see small gaps on my painted cabinet doors. Are they defective? A. As wood expands and contracts naturally, door joints may occasionally develop hairline cracks in the painted finish. These cracks are normal and do not compromise the structural integrity of the door. Q. Can my customer add on labor items after the CCI arrives for the installation appointment? A. Yes, if additional labor is requested, the CCI will complete a change order that includes the necessary labor SKUs. This change order will be submitted to Home Outlet via Sage Sync for processing. The customer must approve and pay for the added items before work can proceed. Once approved, Home Outlet will submit a revised PO.

Installation Date: • Once a design has been created and approved by the Customer and the CCI, a Sage Project Coordinator will call to schedule the start date for the installation services which will be based on the reasonable availability of materials. The PC will also confirm the completion date of your project. Depending on the scope of the installation services, your project could take longer than one day to complete. The job will be completed during normal business hours, Mon - Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM. Existing Walls: • Some existing walls may be bowed, curved or otherwise non-standard. If possible, this will be noted at time of measurement. • If walls are other than standard, the cabinets may not lie flush or even with the wall. Any wall adjustments and repairs necessary for these instances are the sole responsibility of the Customer. These items are considered incidental damage and are the customer’s responsibility to repair. • Customer is responsible for ensuring final wall preparations including, but not limited to, painting, backsplashes, wall papering, are completed after the cabinets have been installed as incidental damage may occur.
