Do I need to be at the home during the measuring and installation phases?

A. We recommend you, or someone over the age of 18, are at the home during the template/measure process to answer any potential design questions and provide input on seam locations. You, or someone over the age of 18, must be present during installation as well. Q. Can I cut on my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop? A. Use of a cutting board is recommended. Q. Can my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop be damaged? A. Yes, this product can be damaged. We recommend using trivets and cutting boards when placing hot materials on the countertop or cutting. Q. Can I set a hot pan on my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop? A. No, it is not recommended to place a hot pan directly on the surface. Q. Can my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop chip or crack? A. Once properly installed it will not crack under normal circumstances. Extreme home settling, or shifting foundations, can cause cracks and we do not recommend you stand on the countertops. Q. Are seams visible? A. A colored epoxy resin is used during installation which is mixed with colored crystals to match the countertop color as closely as possible; however, you will be able to see and feel the seams. Q. How do I clean my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop? A. Can be cleaned with any mild cleaner such as warm water with dish soap. If you choose to use soap and water, the soap can build up on the surface leading to a duller appearance. Avoid using vinegar, bleach, ammonia or other general purpose cleaners. All spills should be cleaned up as soon as possible.
